Privacy Policy of SkyLink PBCS
1. Who we are
Takyonics FZ-LLC, licence number 45038647, VUNE2770, Compass building - Al Hulaila, Al Hulaila Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, runs SkyLink PBCS at skylinkpbcs.com. Contact, also for data protection questions: support@skylinkpbcs.com.
2. Our role
For the personal data of the Customer's users (such as their name and email address) and for billing data, we decide how the data is used. For Customer Data (the CSV files uploaded and the reports made from them) we act on the Customer's behalf and only as it instructs.
3. What we collect
3.1 Account data: the user's name, work email address, role, the Customer's name and country, the FIRs of its plan, and a password (stored in a form that cannot be read back).
3.2 Billing data: the plan and term, the payment status, invoices and the tax number if the Customer gave one. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We keep a reference to the Customer at Stripe, the card brand and the last four digits, and never the full card number.
3.3 Customer Data: the CSV files the Customer uploads and the records and reports made from them. The records describe aircraft communication and surveillance performance and can include aircraft registrations, operators, aircraft types, positions and message times.
3.4 Technical data: IP address, browser, the times of sign-ins, uploads and other actions, and the logs of support access and of administrator actions.
3.5 Messages: what you send us through the contact form or by email.
4. Why we use it
To provide the service and support; to take payments and issue invoices; to keep the service secure and prevent abuse; to follow the law; and to send service messages such as verification, invitations, payment reminders and alerts, which go to all the Customer's users.
5. Who sees it
5.1 Customer Data is visible only to the users of the Customer.
5.2 Our staff see account and billing data. They open Customer Data only when the Customer asks for support, and every such access is logged. We give the Customer the log of that access on request.
5.3 We use these service providers, who process data only for us: Stripe (payments), DigitalOcean (hosting, storage and backups) and Google Workspace (email).
5.4 We do not sell or share personal data or Customer Data with anyone, and we do not use Customer Data for advertising. We use Customer Data only to provide the service and, in aggregated form that identifies no customer, for statistics and to improve the service.
6. Where data is kept
Data is kept on the servers of our hosting provider, DigitalOcean. Stripe processes payment data, and Google Workspace processes the emails we send, in their own systems, which may be in other countries, under their own safeguards. We do not otherwise move Customer Data out of our hosting.
7. How long we keep it
7.1 Customer Data is kept for as long as the subscription is active, so that the Customer can look back through its history. It is deleted when a cancelled subscription ends, when the Customer asks us to, when the Customer deletes or purges it, six months after an account is locked for non-payment (after four weekly warnings in the sixth month), and 14 days after the lock of an account whose free month ended without a payment (after one warning).
7.2 Backups are made daily and kept for six months; older backups are deleted. Deleted data can therefore remain in a backup for up to six months.
7.3 Account and billing data is kept as long as the account exists, and for as long as the law requires us to keep invoices and accounting records.
8. Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed. Uploaded files are stored encrypted. Each customer's data is kept apart from the other customers' data, and access depends on the user's role. Support access is logged. Backups are made daily and kept for six months.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to see, correct, delete or export your personal data, or object to some uses. Write to support@skylinkpbcs.com. For Customer Data, please contact the Customer first. You may also complain to the data protection authority of your country.
10. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may change this policy. We tell the Customer by email at least 30 days before a change that affects it takes effect.
